What it is for

Appointment types are the kinds of visit you book, such as a survey or a showroom visit. The Appointment types page sits in the Admin part of the menu. It lets you add types and change their name, length, colour and icon. The calendar uses the colour and icon.

Who can use it

Anyone who can open the page sees the list. The fields are greyed out and there is no Save button unless you are an owner or director with the "Set up calendar connection & appointment types" permission. If you are not, the page says you can see the types but cannot change them.

If appointments are not switched on for your business, the page says "Appointments are not switched on for this business."

What does Counts as a survey do on an appointment type?

Ticking Counts as a survey sets the job's survey date, and marking the appointment Attended marks the job surveyed. The article says to tick it only for visits that are real surveys.

What can I set on each appointment type?

Each type has a name of up to 120 characters, a default length in minutes from 5 to 720, a location, a colour, an icon, an active tick and an order number. The calendar uses the colour and icon.
