Review automatically tracked time

Look over time tracked on quote and job pages and choose what goes onto your timesheet.

Where: web · Who can use it: Worker-only page, shown in the menu to everyone signed in. It shows a notice if automatic capture is not enabled for your account.

Screens may differ slightly from what you see.

What it is for

Capture Review (Workforce section) lists time tracked while you work on quotes and jobs. The page title says it "stays on this device until you promote it". You review it before any of it reaches your timesheet.

Who can use it

If your account does not have capture switched on, the page says: "Auto admin-time capture is not enabled for your account. Nothing is being tracked."

How to use it

Review and add time

  1. Open Capture Review.
  2. Time is grouped by day, then by job or quote. Each line shows a start time and how long you were active.
  3. Tick the lines you want, or use Toggle all on a job or quote.
  4. Press Add selected to timesheet. A message says how many segments were promoted to your timesheet.

If some cannot be added, the page lists them with the reason.

Merge, delete or show promoted

See what the server holds

The What the server holds card lists the admin time you have promoted, by date and job, with a total. Before you promote anything it says: "Nothing promoted yet — the server holds no capture data for you."

Common questions

Does tracked time go to my timesheet automatically?

No. Tracked time is held in this browser only. Nothing reaches the server unless you promote it by pressing Add selected to timesheet, so you review the lines first and choose which to keep.

What happens to time I do not promote?

Unpromoted segments are removed automatically after 14 days. Because the time is held in the browser, it will not appear on another computer, so promote what you want to keep.
