Fill in and submit your timesheet
Record your hours per day, job and activity, then submit the week for approval.
Screens may differ slightly from what you see.
What it is for
My Timesheet (Workforce section of the menu) is your own weekly timesheet. The page says to record the hours you worked on each job, then submit it on Friday. Timesheets here are for tracking and job costing.
Who can use it
- "Workforce is not enabled for this tenant. Ask your administrator to enable the Workforce module."
- "You do not have permission to record timesheets."
How to use it
Add a row and enter hours
- Open My Timesheet.
- Press Add row.
- Choose a Job, or "No job (internal time)". Choose an Activity.
- Press Add row in the box. If that job and activity row already exists you are told so.
- Type your hours into the day cells.
- Press Save changes. A message says "Timesheet saved".
If a cell is not valid you see "Fix the highlighted cells before saving".
Copy last week
- Press Copy last week.
- Choose Activities and hours or Activities only.
- Choose what to do if a cell already has hours: add to them, replace them with last week's hours, or skip those cells.
- Press Copy.
Submit the week
- Save your changes first. Submit is told to wait: "Save your changes first".
- Press Submit. The message is "Timesheet submitted for approval".
- If some entries have no job, they are highlighted and the page says how many need a job before you can submit.
If your timesheet is rejected
A banner reads "This timesheet was rejected." It shows the reason, or "No reason was recorded." Correct the entries and submit it again.
Tips
- The strip at the top shows Status, Expected, Recorded and Gap hours. The Gap figure turns amber when it is flagged.
- If the timer is switched on for your company, stopping it adds the time to your week. The page also accepts an "Add manually" link from the timer.
- Leave and bank-holiday days are shown in the grid for the week.
Things to know
- Once you submit, the timesheet is read-only. The page says it stays so "until it is approved, rejected or reopened". After approval it is locked.
- If your company has offline saving switched on and you lose your connection, changes are kept on that device and synced later. Rejected offline changes are listed with a Dismiss button. If the week was locked or approved while you were offline, ask a manager to reopen it.

Common questions
Can I copy last week's timesheet?
Yes. Press Copy last week and choose Activities and hours or Activities only. You can also choose whether to add to, replace or skip cells that already have hours.
What if my timesheet is rejected?
A banner reads This timesheet was rejected and shows the reason, or No reason was recorded. Correct the entries, save your changes and submit the timesheet again for approval.
Why can I not submit my timesheet?
Save your changes first, because Submit asks you to. Entries with no job are highlighted, and the page says how many need a job before you can submit.
